KAT-TUN becomes KU-NTT

Ok so I still don't have much time to blog while doing this University research, but I had to post this. So without going into all the nitty gritty, Jin posted a message on some official JE phone site which basically said that he was to leave KAT-TUN to become a solo singer. The fans seem to be divided, one side is very upset...being fangirls and all. The other side is kinda meh and they were meh about him...him being a bit of a douche at times and all. One can't deny however that he was probably [well in my opinion anyway] the best singer in the group and his absence will leave the group with a different type of sound. Personally I don't like that he is leaving, I never really cared for him as a celebrity or whatever but he was a great singer, plus the group were together for years, even before their debut. What affects me most however is the future of KAT-TUN. Will it remain KAT-TUN, Kame possible lending the A in his name or will they have a name change. Can you image awaiting a new song from a group called KU-NNT?

YAAAAAAAAAY!! Its about time. Yes everyone KAT-TUN have finally released their 5th album titled "NO MORE PAIИ ". This is also their 2nd album to feature only 5 members, Akanishi Jin once again missing, this time focusing on his solo stuff rather than issues revolving around scandals. As you can see the album contains the single Going!, which ye may know my feelings towards, but we also get 13 brand new tracks which is awesome, 5 of these are solo songs for each of the members.The title track of this album is N.M.P (NO MORE PAIN) for which a pv was made. now let us go and watch this pv and cap it to hell then talk about the rest of the album m'kay!.....................................

Now I really like this pv. Its atmospheric and unusual and works well with the song.I'll talk about the song later, but for now lets focus on the visuals with... you guessed it....CAPS!

Right then, onto the actual music of the album.

N.M.P. (NO MORE PAIN)

The lead track on the album and it's easily my favourite song on the album.It starts with a lovely string instrumental. I'm a sucker for voilins in jpop. This is ended by an eerie gothic bell toll which eventually breaks into the main midevil instrumental. 1 and a half minutes into the song and everyone has already been given a line. The chorus is great, energetic and with the voilins in the background, its very atmospheric.This song incorporates Koki's rapping, yuichi's beat boxing and a small bit of autotune near the end, all of which work very well in this song. We are also given an insight into Ueda giving a bit of his singing power into the song, which I found very pleasing. Sone of the english bits are hard to understand, especially after the "I don't wanna lose you" bit.

Love Yourself

This was KAT-TUN's 11th single, the a-side of which was used for kame's drama. I like this song, albeit not as much ad THE D-MOTION but has a nice rhythm to it and its the first single of their's which incorporates the autotune thing. At the start I liked it, then I didn't, then I did again. Its a good song but lacks a bit of punch, its kinda soft if that makes any sense?

FARAWAY

This the first of the slow type songs on the album, but unlike most slow songs...I like it.Its a slow song but its not sang in a ballad type of way, plus it has a bit of a beat in the background which elevated slightly at the chorus. A very nice song which can properly show their songing ability.

THE D-MOTION

This was by far my favourite song of their 11th single. It is comprised fully of that autotune feature which is kind of weird but it worked really well, and me being a perfume fan was pleased with it. I really like the instrumental of this song, and the way the lads sand in a lower register than usual, well with some exceptions. Jin was cooler than usual with him singing lines like "Feel the beat I busted that burning up your body bitch!"...we wouldn't get that with H!P now would we. I also really liked Ueda's lines where he rolled his R when saying "Rrrrrrrock your body". Just a great song, funny pv...just great :)

Right Now

Yuichi must have had a beatbox surplus that built up and spilled into this track. Nah I'm only joking, I really like his beatboxing an the start is a very cool mix of beatboxing and voice manipulation....very techno robotic. It is along the same lines of THE D-MOTION which is why they placed it after it I suppose. I like this song, but I wouldn;t want too much of the voice alteration in a KAT-TUN album.

ROCKIN' ALL NITE

When I first heard this song, all I could think of was ARASHI! It sounds exactly like a song that arashi would put it. Its the same kind of guitar work and arrangemnet and singing style of arashi's songs. I actually don't know what to say about this song besides that its exactly like listening to arashi....which isn;t a bad thing, I like arashi and they are very successful, but I wan't KAT-TUN on a KAT-TUN album.

SWEET

This is the 1st of the solo songs. This is Kame's. I don't really like the way he sings in this song, and the instrumental is pretty bland, but it does show off his singing prowess.

LOVE MUSIC

This is Taguchi's solo song. Its always interesting to hear his solo songs, this one is a sort of rnb/hip-hop ish. At the start I thought it was Yuichi doing the ooooh's. I quite like this song, as he has such a distinctive singing voice within the group, but listening to the solo allowed me to hear more of what he is capable of.

MAKE U WET -CHAPTER 2-

Its the return of the raunchy named song as Koki takes on this great song. I really like the song but the starting and ending are just really weird O.o.... listen for yourselves. Its got an arabian hip-hop vibe to the instrumental.....yes I did just describe it as arabian hip-hop. This is one of my favourite solo songs on the album as its a bit dirty and I really like the way koki sings. We dont usually get to hear him actually sing on his own, so this is a nice treat.

RABBIT OR WOLF?

If koki's is one of my favourite solo songs on the album, this would be the other. This is Ueda's and its got the most rock like feel out of the lot. It suits him, though in the title I can only imagine him being a rabbit poor lad. The song also uses a radio effect in his voice which adds a nice bit of variety. My view of Uebons singing went up after listening to this and N.M.P.

FILM

The last of the solo songs, and this is Yuichi's. This aint a bad song either. Its somewhere in between Taguchi's and Kame's in terms of energy. Its an ok song, definitely an album track. Might be nice to listen to while driving in a convertable in the sunny weather.

PROMISE SONG

Its the big group ballad at the end of the album......awwww. Not a huge fan of ballads but this is ok.

HELLO

Whoot, last song on the album and they end on an upbeat note. "RRrrrrrrrrrr HELLO!!" Lots of clapping for the instrumental of this song. 2 thirds of the way through though it kinda turns into SIX SENSES from Queen of Pirates.

Overall: A good album, with a grear lead track, some good solo songs, and nice vocals all round.

Chanting: Wota vs Kpop fans

Have you ever listened to a song or watched a songs video and thought it was great. Have you also seen a live version of this songin which you thought that the hearing it live was even better. Was it to do with the natural un-touched voices of the performer....or was it to do with the extra energy that was pumped into the performance by the chanting the performers got while singing. In all forms of music there will be people shouting and chanting to their music stars but lets compare the all too overly compared Jpop and Kpop music scenes in terms of chants.

Now before I begin, believe me I know they are 2 totally different types of music and cultures etc but for the sake of arguement lets just move on. Anyway the 2 groups I shall be comparing in terms of chants will be to "Oh!" by "Girls Generation" and a "Renai Revolution 21/Love Machine" medley by "Morning Musume". Not a perfect comparrison but it shall do.

As soon as the girls start to sing, the chants begin. The chants shouted after each line are the names of the girls in the group, shouted out in a particular order ending in a mass "So Nyu shi dae". Where the girls have solo lines however, usually people only scream rather than shouting the members name like the wota do. Also throughout the song, the fans can be heart chanting along with the "Ha!" and "Oh!" parts. Another round of name shouting begins in the chorus. At the end of the song however we hear a long chant that the fans have made up to coincide with the instrumental, this is an aspect of korean pop chants which is superior to jpop chants. The chant also has some meaning aswell which makes it even cooler, for example, the long chant at the end of this song is "xxx".

Pros: Members names chanted while group sings, Unique chants created for each individual song usually working with the instrumental
Cons: No chanting of indivdual members names during solo lines with only screams to be heard, not much chantng during chorus besides name shouting.

In this medley, the chanting begins when the instrumental starts as opposed to the kpop fans which dive right in as the singing starts. The chaning here is the old faithful "Oi!" of the wota which when chanted seriously escalates the energy in the room. This chanting is also times to fit around certain areas of the instrumental and is not just shouted throughout the whole thing. When the singing does start the wota join in with the "Fu Fu" and similiar noises, however when the group sings together, there is no chanting. Chanting resumes again however when the girls solo lines kick in. Here the audience chant the members names until thier line is up, the wota will then chant the next singers name. However this is not a constant, where the chanting can stop at a certain point even if a solo singer has a line which can sometimes seem like they are shunning that person, even though eveone knows there not. The chanting of the 'Ooowah', 'Yeah!', 'wow's' 'Oh' etc continue throughout where appropriate like that of the kpop songs.

Pros: Chanting Members names during solo parts, Use of 'Oi' to increase energy is extremely effective
Cons: No chanting during group singing, Use of the cyber, fiber, driver, tiger mix thing seems very random and non sensical

Conclusion: Both types of chants have their por's and Con's and both are effective when they are used. Both are very different, the kpop going for unique and thoughout chants where as the jpop group go for instand energy boosting chants. The chants obviously change for each song and no 2 are the same, also the types of music are a bit different too which will affect the chants. But I do think that both groups could take a leaf out of each others ~~hymn~~ chant books to make some epic chants. And personally I would come up with something a bit more creative than the H!P cyber tiger mix thing....but I havent been to a live concert so I can't appreciate its full affectiveness, but as a very distant observer those are my views.

Ride your idols senseless

Say whaaaat!! But yes, have you ever listened to a song by your favourite artist and you ust thought, "Man I just love to ride that!" ...well now you can with Audiosurf! Yes of course audiosurf, what did ye think I was talking about.

For those of you who dont know, audiosurf is a game which allows you to ride your music in a way that is somewhat similiar to Dance Dance Revolution.To play this game you need to buy it or get it by 'other means'. Once you load the game, you choose your difficulty easy, medium and hard, and also the type of game. Persoanlly, I play the mono type on medium level.

The aim of the gameis to collect as many colourd blocks as possible and avoid hitting the grey blocks which hinder your coloured block collection ability, thus reducing your score. For every coloured block you collect you get a point, then at the end of the game, your total score can be posted on a worldwide scoreboard where you can compete with other riders of idols.

to give you a better idea of what I am talking about, here is a video of me playing:

As you can see, with the right song, you can get a kickass track, mixed with a great song added with blowing neon colours. Its a full body sensual experiance. Not onlt is it an insanely addicting game, but it can also heald with your hand eye coordination and stuff. A warning though...it is insanely addictive so be prepared. I love this game and as you can see, I sometimes record my progress and show it off to the youtube world.

Overall it enhances to music experience, your not just listening to it, you are riding in and on the music, making you appreciate the different layering and stuff thats put into the music. Not only do you play it and thats that, but its also uploads your played music to your Last.Fm account which is always handy. So give it a try and let me know what you think, but done blame me when you get addicted. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Lee Jung Hyun returns with a new album

Yes!! My favourite Korean techno pop wizard is back with a new album and a smokin hot new look.

Lee Jung Hyun has burst onto the music scene this may with the release of her 7th album entitled "LEE JUNG HYUN 007TH". It was released on the 11th and contains 12 tracks, 6 of which were already released on her 2nd Mini-Album "Avaholic"...........

Now lets move onto the music itself.

007th (Intro) - This basically the audio from the pv of her walking in the rain and shooting creepy faced guy

Suspicious Man - I freaking love this song. Its a modern throwback to her original songs which were heavily techno/trance based, but nowadays as pop sells more, she releases more pop influenced techno. Some of her previous albums had left her techno rotts too much but this song really is what LJH is. This song as the opner on the album is perfect as its energetic and very ctachy which imediatley catches your attention. She uses a mix of her original singing, some slight techno effect and a radio effect which helps give the song more impact. After about 2 listens of this song I was repeating the d d d d d parts which makes it so catchy. The "Lie" word which is entered between lines of the part of the song near the chorus is also pretty cool and the fans seem to like shouting that part at her while she is performing live. Definitely my favourite song of the album and of my all time favourites of hers along with "Wa" & "Bakkwo".

Eenie Meenie Minie Moe - This is a quirky song. By LJH terms its not a very fast song but its not a ballad either. Its sung in a cute way but also has that synth track playing behind it. Another song I like, kinda helps ya wind down after "Suspicious man".

Vogue Girl (It Girl) - This was the lead track from her last mini-album "Avaholic". Its got the same kinda speed of "EMMM" but its sang in a more angry way [a characteristic of a lot of her songs]. Its got a similiar t t t t part like "Suspicious man" its not as catchy and has less impact. The chorus is great though.

Come on - As its techno pop its much harder to describe.2:30 mins in and I still can't find a way to describe it XD

Open - Here we have a ballad sang without voice alteration and a more natural instrumental sound. Its a really nice and soothing song. People might mistakenly think she isn't as good a singer that she is as her original stuff was sang in a more angry tone and involved shouting. This of course is wrong as can be heard here. Oooh very nice quitar & piano solos in this song. Usually I don't like slow songs, but as LJH has such a great voice I can easily listen to this without feeling bored.

CRAZY - This is the song where you can hear where she sings like she used to in the early days. I'm not mad about the "crazy ugh, crazy song, crazy" parts... haha not mad about crazy...get it?! Ya not a bad song at all, though that crazy ugh bit in parts kinda ruins it.

AVAtar - From what I saw on LJH's Last.Fm page, a lot of people seemed to like this song. Again I can't describe it sorry ^^;

You're Mine - "HOT NEW SHIT" haha! hmm I am indifferent about this song, it doesn't really do anything for me.

2Night - Nah I don't really like this song.

Miro I - This is a 1 min instrumental of a music box. Very soothing ideed.

Miro II - This song always makes me smile just because the start and throughout the song contains words that sound very funny. Its a nice uplifting ballad type song with an instrumental based around accordians. If you couldn't tell its a full song based around the tune we heard in "Miro I". Very nice song to end the album on as its got a happy lullaby type feel filled with funny sounding words that make you smile as the album sadly ends.

Overall - Overall I freaken love this album. Yes I heard half of the songs before when avaholic was released but man, just listening to 'suspicious man' alone makes up for that fact. If you have listened to her before or have just listened to this album, what do you think? If you havent listened to LJH yet I strongly suggest you do especially my 3 favourite songs: 'Wa', 'Bakkwo' & 'Suspicious Man'

Expanding Music Horizons series: Part 4 [Final]

Yes dear readers, the time has come for the last in the expanding music horizons series. Please dont be sad as today we are looking again into the Korean lads which pump out some great music. So lets dive straight in shall we. And if you can't find Part 3, its HERE

TVXQ/DBSK

DBSK are probably the best selling kpop group in Korea. They debuted in 2004 with their single "Hug" which sold 237,000 copies. To date they have released 8 albums, 38 singles as well as compilation albums and colaboration singles and releasing in both Korea and Japan sucessfully............

They are composed of 5 guys all with about 3 different names each: Hero, U-Know, Micky, Xiah, Max. The group are also vredited as having the worlds largets fanclub called "Cassiopeia" which has over 800,000 members in south korea alone. Also, according to wikipedia they have been photographed about 500 million times for various cd jackets, magazines etc. Thats a lot of 0's. I discovered them a little while ago after hearing about them from various people and seeing their names pop up everytime the word kpop was brought up. To me they are the best kpop guy group I have listened to. They are less heavily influenced by RnB and techno than other groups but thats not to say they dont experiment with their style. They are brilliant singers too and each one has a slightly different sound which is great. Like I said with some of the other groups I have began to listen to, I don't know anything about the guys individually as I dove in at the deepend and listened to all of my kpop all at once ^^;. But not everything with them is rosey. As my luck would have it, just as I start to listen to them, I found out that 3 of the members are sueing their company for making their contract unreasonably long. In the end, the groups activities were suspended, 3 of the members formed a new group "JUNSU JEJUNG YUCHUN" as signed with avex. So at least some of them will continue to release music. I strongly urge people to give them a try. If its a dislike for what korean sounds like when sung, then no problems, these guys released most of their singles in Japan as "Tohoshiniki". And thats all I have to say really about this group, as always some of the songs I loved:

Super Junior

Super Junior are a huge 13 member group under SM Entertainment. The debuted in 2005 and to me they are like DBSK's little brother. I don't really know how to explain it and I'm sure fangirls will disagree but whenever I think of suju, in the back of my head there dbsk and vise-versa. Well anyway that them, I'm actually really glad I found that pic. I'll use it to learn their names. The group have released 4 albums [BONAMANA on the 13th] and 6 singles, 4 of which were digital. This group is also a major seller in the kpop world, for example, their new album BONAMANA had already sold 200,000 copies before it even went on sale. I was atounded when I found out. And here's me as a Gaki fan is MM sell over 50k...weird aint it. I really like this group and the title song from their new album has been stuck in my head since its release so it only fair that I get it stuck in yours too :d

BIGBANG

As you can see, BIGBANG are cool to shi-hizzle aren't they? Well thats the image that they potray anyway. These lads debuted in 2006 with a sound heavily influenced in RnB, no wonder they come from the same company as 2NE1. As I'm not a huge fan of RnB and rap some of their songs are hit and miss with me but I don't deny that they are a great group. They are so great in fact that when they had a tour in Japan in February of this year a whole load of famous jpop artists went to see them including Koda Kumi, Perfumes A~chan, some JE groups, some AKB48 members and our very own Reina, Abe Natsumi and Matsuura Aya. Again I dont follow the guys personally so I can't talk about them outside of their music. But I shall leave you with some great music to listen to :D

ZE:A

ZE:A are a new group only having debuted this year. Its a group of 9 [of course make it easeir for me to learn their names] which releases stuff with the usual RnB with eltronica tones. They released their 1st mini album in January which only has 3 tracks on it so there is not much material to talk about. Their lead track however "Mazeltov" was great, I really liked it. Its a bit stupid with half of the song being composed of them saying the days of the week and throwing the word 'Mazeltov' in every now and again, but I liked it. Their new song however "Leap for detonation" is much more mainstream and therefor much more boring. It sounds more like a track that BIGBANG would release, and who needs two groups releasing the same sort of stuff. Go back to the Crazy stuff please. And here is the song. You can enjoy it on Frinday, Saturday or Sunday heh its the weekend so MAZELTOV

SHINee, SS501,2AM, 2PM

Fortuantely I have listened to these 4 groups, unfortunately however, I have only listened to them a handful of times and so I can say that i do like them, I just can't tell them apart from each other just yet haha. Hopefully that wont be the case soon enough.

Well that brings us to the end of the expanding series I hope you enjoyed it. For me, I am really happy I expanded my horizons, I feel the more musically happy for it. As you can probably tell, I bit off way more than I could chew with the whole kpop stuff but its all shiny and new. I havent felt like this since I first discovered Morning Musume. Back then I had a hard job learning all 25 girls, now I have to learn the names of people from about 25 groups haha. For me at the moment I am currently leaning to liking kpop more probably because I only really listen to 2 main groups with my full concentration, also kpop has a bit more variety I think. Also its all so new to me that I can't help but be drawn in to learn more. Jpop is fantastic and I love it, it gave me Gaki but kpop is like Jpop hip young brother. I'm talking shite now so I'll leave it at that. I hope you enjoyed reading this series and continue to explore new music with me [very cheesy I'm sorry].

New KAT-TUN pv released [+ picspam]

Ya so a few days ago KAT-TUN, my 2nd favourite Jpop group released the PV for their 12th single "Going!". Now just a bit on the single itself....I am kinda meh about it. It seems more like a filler song on an album.. It just lacks impact and a chorus thats memorable unlike "THE D-MOTION" & "Love Yourself" which both had great catchy beats that I would find myself humming without realising. Also this single is missing Akinishi Jin, in my opinion the groups best singer. Its weird, the last single they released without Jin I didn't like either so maybe I subconciensly like him more than I think. Expanding Music Horizons series: Part 3

Welcome to part 3 in my expanding music horizons series. This time I shall be focusing on the rapidly increasing and influential Korean pop music. And from this genre, I shall be seeing what girl groups/artists I have branched out to and who I have liked and so forth. So without any delays lets get the it:

So Nyuh Shi Dae / Girls' Generation

SNSD are the first Kpop group that I ever listened to. It was also a pretty easy transition to make as they were a group composed of 9 different girls with different personalities and looks that sand pop songs, to me it reminded me of Morning Musume..............

Unlike listening to some groups for the 1st time, I knew I liked them after I listened to my first SNSD song which was the insanely catchy "Gee". And that my firends is thier secret. They release music that is insanely catchy that you will find yourself with their tune stuck in your head almost after the very first listen. Liking this group was also made very easy by the fact that I found 7 out of the 9 girls to be very attractive. The debuted in 2007 and since then have become major players in the korean music industry.
There are 9 girls as I said, and unlike the time I first found Morning Musume, I have found many other groups around the same time as finding SNSD so I have not been able to remember all the names or match names to faces as of yet, but pretty soon I will. I can tell you that I know Taeyeon, Sunny, Yuri and Jessica, the other will register soon enough. Though Morning Musume and SNSD shouldn't really be compared as they are totally different marketing wise, it is easy to compare vocal talent. The leader Taeyeon [my personal favourite], is a fantastic singer, which is a kin to Takahashi Ai of Morning Musume. Unlike Morning Musume however, ALL they girls are capable singers, some obviously better than others, but they definitely all can sing. Thier music also seems to be much better thought out and produced so that you can't help but remember the song, even if you dont want to. They are by far my favourite Korean group that I have listened to as of yet.

After School

After School would probably be my second favourite female kpop group. Like SNSD, it is quite a large group with the current roster consisting of 8 members. Also unlike SNSD, they are a group heavily influenced by RnB and electro genre's with a few members proficient in rapping. They were marketed as a korean pussycat dolls, then in 2009 it was announced that they were to be the south korean Morning Musume. Speaking of MM, in May 2009, After School released "Dream Girl", a korean cover of "Love Machine" and was used as the theme song to the H!P Korean auditions. That was to be the first I heard of this group, I liked the song, but once the show was over I didn;t bother with the group for almost a year later when I rediscovered them and liked nearly all of their songs from the first listen.
After school's sound is pretty much the norm in the korean music market at the moment which is dominated by RnB/electro groups to the extent where most sound exactly the same. After School however stand out from the groups in this genre...I don't know why but they do. Unlike SNSD however, I know none of their names nor could recognise their faces, but hey the music is great and thats what counts right. Thier current single Bang! made me fall in love with it from about 30 seconds into it. That high school band tune really stuck to me. I like it so much that it became my favourite single of thiers and beat SNSD's new song "Run Devil Run" in my personal rankings. see for yourself..

F(x)

F(x) are up next because after my 2 favourite girl groups were done, fx were next in alphabetical order. Anyway fx are a 5 member group which sings RnB/electro songs. And like what I said in the after school part, this group slots right in there. They dont really have that big of an impact on me and thier songs are not really that catchy. Also to me it seems like they are trying way to hard to be cool/hip/street...whatever you want to call it. They have the too cool to look girly girl and a girl who likes to wear ghetto hats as well as 3 cute girls who dont really pull off that kind of image. Ya not much to say really. This is one group that I am indifferent over. Here is a song of theirs.

Lee Jung Hyun

This woman is amazing. When I first discovered her, I was hooked on her for a good while. This everyone is Lee Jung Hyun, a Korean soloist who is famous for her early music in the Electronica/techno/trance pop genre. At the moment her music is more mainstream but less interesting that what she used to release. She was the one who rekindled my love for techno and I am thankful to her. She is also a stunning woman so thats a bonus. She began to release music in 1999 when trance beats were all the rage and man did she release some catchy tunes. Its hard to describe but ye will just have to watch the videos below to see her stuff. Nowadays her stuff as I said is more mainstream as its harder to sell trance stuff these days. But her new stuff still has electronic elements to it, its just more mainstream and pop now, which isn'ta bad thing but its now the music I liked her for. She is also a bit of a mad yolk with her dancing as you will see in 'Wa', also when singing live she used a custom mic which was mounted on her baby finger, very interesting indeed. Her music might not be to everyones tastes but if you like a good beat and catchyness then check her out. She is like an older korean version of Perfume...kinda.

Son Dam Bi

Son Dam Bi is a smokin hot Korean soloist who appeared in 2007. I know absolutely nothing about her besides her name and nationality. But I dont care. Just look at her. HAWT!! Her music style again, influenced by pop, RnB and elctro tones. However her music style changed a little so it doesn't really sound repetative like some other groups songs. Unlike some other groups, her music is easy listen to and you could find yourself listening to her music without realising it [not in a way that its just background music]. But for this reason, I can never remember what songs I have listened to or liked, so I just listen to them all over again ^^;.
This video is pretty famous for her so 'chair dance' enjoy...I know I did :D

Wonder Girls

Nobody nobody but you......! Ya so I added this group just because they are well knows. But I have only really listened to one song and that would be their hit "Nobody". A good and catchy song, the group hasn't done much since. I think there was supposed to a new album released soon but they got into a car accedent and the driver of the taxi their bus crashed into died so promotion got suspended by 2 weeks. Give the song a listen and give them a try, I just never really got much into their other songs

2NE1

Phoa, prepare yourselves. 2NE1, the last in this series, are probably the most agressive and RnB type group that I have listened to. One thing you are guarenteed when you watch/listen to 2NE1 are 1: Rediculus outfits and 2: some yo yo ghetto english intro monologues. The titles of their songs are pretty agressive too including 'Fire'& 'I don't care'. Unfortunately, I dont really like RnB all that much and can pout up with the other groups because they usually have a mix of styles, but this group is just too 'grrrrrr' for me. I feel like they are attacking me rather than singing to me so I think I will leave them at my discovery stage and move on.

Gaki goodies announced: DVD, PB & BLOG

OMGaki, this ios the best week for gaki news ever!!! So 2 days or so ago I say on the Hello! Online twitter that Gaki was to release a DVD, so I rushed over to the relavent release thread at the site and got the most glorious information. On the 14th of July this year, Risa will release her 3rd solo DVD entitled Alo Hello! 3. This is great, she always gives us great stuff from her dvd's. Her 1st was awesome and full of fun energetic Gaki. The second one was about how she has become a mature lady as it was to me knowledge released sometime around her 20th birthday. This time I am hoping for more genki crazy gaki with as many crazy reactions thrown in as possible. The DVD was also announced on the same day, this is yet untitled but who cares. Her last photobook was released 25th of April 2008, thats over 2 years ago so she was overdue a new pb, and from peoples reactions around the web, everyone is delighted for her. This means great shots of her in great location, short-haired gaki pics...hopefully with different styles and most importantly....BIKINI'S! Yay I'm so happy. July COME ON!

When Risa was doing some live webcast thing on UStream, Gaki asked if she could have a blog, a while later she was told she could....que REACTIONS!!!

The blog is yet untitled and can be found HERE. She has somesmall entries put in so far, basically saying that she has a blog and how happy she is. These people have translated the entires so far and will hopefully continue to do so for ever and ever.

This is great news. Risa has always said that she wanted to go into acting for drama's and movies and to have a blog. And well now, out baby has a blog. This of course means loads of intimate pics of our angel in various situations with so and so people doing cute poses and hopefully help us to get to know the reaction queeen a little more.

Well thats all I wanted to say. I thought I would let ya'll know and to ask ye to supporther by buying the DVD or PB if ye can, and of course to enjoy the new blog!

Time for Part 2 in this expanding Music Horizons series. This entry will be in the same sort of format as the previous one. This entry will focus on....

Japanese Male Music

This post is probably the ont that bring the most controversy if you will as it mainly contains music from the Johnny's Entertainment company. This is simply due to its ease of access and downloadability, the fact that I know people who listen to this stuff makes it easier to find out info and stuff on....plus I like the music. Its not all JE music though as my 1st Male group is...............

Abingdon Boys School

Abingdon Boys School is a four person J-Rock band fronted by Nishikawa Takanori a.k.a T.M Revolution. They debuted in 2005 but Nishikawa was a soloist in Japan since the late 90's. Unlike most other Japanese music I listen to, these lads are pretty much just straight Japanese Rock, with 2 guitarists, a keyboardist/synthasizer player and a vocalist, there are also 2 supporting members which supply the bass and drums.
I discovered them a while ago when Morning Musume were on some tv programme, the one with that american guy who kept grabbing koharu. Well one of the special guests or was it a host was Nishikawa. Throughout the programme they would go back to him and he would do or say something. I found him funny and a bit cheeky, so I googled his name and from that I found out that he was in ABS and so I youtubed some of their videos and liked what I heard and so I got some of their music.
As this is really the first J-Rock group I have listened to, I can't compare on their style compared to other groups but what I can say isthat Nishikawa's vocals are great and they fit this type of music perfectly. Sometimes though he goes a little overboard on the vibrato but we can forgive him for that.

to give ya a taster of what they are like:

KAT-TUN

KAT-TUN are a JE group comosed of 6 lads rangong is age 24 to 27. They were formed in 2001 but didn't debut and start releasing music till 2006. They are at heart a male idol group and mainly just sing and dance in terms of the music aspect. Their music style is rooted in the pop genre but they also take in influences of rock like in Real Face & Lips and also some tecno influences like in THE D-MOTION so thier music style is never static. Their vocals are not typical of idols, they have a deeper and more mature sound, even more so than Arashi who debuted 7 years previous and who's members are on average older than KAT-TUN's.
To be honest, I don't remember how I found them at all. I think I downloaded Real Face years ago and had it on my iPod without knowing who they were. It wasn't till a while ago that I really began to like that song more and more and eventually researched them. After youtubing them and liking song after song [besides Bokura no Machi de] I decided 'Ya, they are a group for me' and I have been listening and loving everything they have been putting out since. Another great aspect of the group is their live tours are way better than those of H!P in terms of production. They are more of a show than a concert. I know JE have much for money than H!P but JE have more imagination. I could go on for another ages talking about them but I will stop here, but I would urge people to give them a try.

ARASHI

Arashi, probably JE's most successful act [along with SMAP] and once of the most successful acts in Japan at the moment. They are comprised of 5 members, 1 of which Matsumoto Jun, knows and 1 of the 3 elite of JE never had to audition to join the company, good thing too caus his voice is extremely nasaly.
Anyway, the group debuted in 1999 and their 1st single sold just under 1 million copies. Their style is more mainstream pop which generally has a happy cheesy tone to it. Unlike KAT-TUN I don not follow this group as closely, I also know less of their music. I like it I just dont really remember what I have heard. There is so much that I just turn them on and just listen away not really paying attention.
I found this group on Limewire by typing 'J-Pop'. I found them pretty soon after I found Morning Musume. So soon in fact that I would switch between listening to them and MM between songs. Eventaully MM won out and I stopped listening to arashi for the most part. I had always liked 2 or 3 songs though that I would always go back to at some stage. It wasn't till a few months ago when I got a lot more of their music. They are a fine group, I just never got into them as much as KAT-TUN.

Hey! Say! Jump

I decided to group these 2 together simply because I have less to say about them. I started to listen to HSJ first. I dunno why really. A passing fad me thinks. I dont even really like their music all that much but I suppose I wanted to listen to something new at a time when releases were rare. They debuted in 2007 and only released 5 singles since. Their style started of as happy pop but eventaully moved to mature/love song type pop. Besides from saying they have great hairstyles that I might some day try to emulate there is nothing much else to say really so I shall post a song I like then move onto NEWS.

NEWS are the newest Japanese male group that I have started listening to. I always knew about them, I just never seemed interested in listening to them. After watching a few J-Drama's though which Yamapi starred in, I decided to give them a go. And I gotta say, they aint bad at all. As, for style, they dont really have any, their music sounds different quite a bit though it always has a pop foundation.
As for their releases, I never had a very strong liking to most of their singles, not that I hate them, I just would particularly go and throw one on. Instead, I found some of their album tracks to be of more interest.
Oh I forgot the background info lol. They debuted in 2003 with nine members, 3 of them are now gone. Of the 6 I dont really know their names yet but I call them... Yamapi for Tomohisa Yamashita just caus everyone does and its easy to remembers, Ryo for Ryo caus he has a short name, koyama for koyama, Dragon guy for kato because whenever he sigs his face goes all weird and reminds me of a dragon, mas/masuda for masuda and tego for tegoshi because his name belongs to the guy that isn't masude in tegomas....ya I'm weird. Talent wise, they aint bad, Dragon would be at the bottom in my opinion, then Yamapi ,Ryo, Koyama and masuda, then at the top would be tego. He has a class voice, way better than the other guys, so much so that its really noticable . Others would argue that mas has a really good voice too...maybe but his way of singing annoys me and he sounds nasaly sometimes.

Overall News beats HSJ, arashi is somewhere...I dunno yet and KAT-TUN is on top. ABS is totally different so they would have their own list. I hopefully didn't scare off too many people with so much JE stuff, but what ya gonna do. Oh and dont forget the title...its about the music so dont bother going on about the fanservice, just ignore it like I do...or enjoy it, its up to you.

Welcome to the first in a series of posts on my ventures out of the realm of Hello! Project...no wait please don't go yet!

These are basically to show the other stuff I listen to and to open a door way into blogging about other music besides that of H!P. [oh also some these groups are pretty new to me so don't expect really in depth stuff]. To aclimatise those of you stuck in a H!P bubble, I shall talk about a safe topic first:

Japanese Female Music

This area of music was not the first place that I ventured when expanding my asian music horizons but its an easy place to start. so let us begin. The first group up is................

AKB48

Aaaaaahhhhh!!! Alarm bells ringing everywhere! .....Yes AKB48 the eternal arch enemy of Hello! Project. OR, a good female pop idol group.

AKB48, a group made up of loads of girls [thier numbers fluctuate], which not only release music but also perform stage plays on a very regular basis.
Now music wise they are a very simple group, they release great pop songs, sometimes with other genre influences, but for the most part just great music.
I only started listening to them recently as when I was breaking out of my H!P bubble, the extreme fear of AKB by H!P fans had a knock-on affect on me. This is silly I know, but being surrounded by H!P, this mindset embeds itself in your mind, so when you think... "Hmm I think I might listen to one of their tracks to see what they are like." something in your mind says, No! they are the enemy of your H!P idols. This is utter bollocks and of course, does not apply to all, but it did with me and probably to others.

Let me say this though. Branching out to other idol groups that might be in competition is not your problem. All you need to do is listen to the music and enjoy it, let the management and businessmen worry about competition.

That being said, the songs I like from this group are:

Vocaloid

This isn't strictly a female thing. Vocaloid refers to a series of singing synthesizer which have a certain sound and are characterised by persona's which have names and images. The most famous of these vocaloids is Hatsune Miku.

These synthesixers are used by fans to create their own music. For the most part die to the sound the vocaloids make when they sing, most of these songs are techno/electronic pop songs. Some other songs made have influences of rock and folk music. There are numerous vocaloids including, Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin & Len, Megurine Luka, Meiko, Kaito, Gakupo Kamui, Gumi etc. Most of the vocaloids sond different, Miku having quite a high voice, Luka having a low voice and Rin having something in between. This also affects the songs being made. Miku tends to have hyper songs where as Luka usually has a more rockish or more pure techno sound. Wih the amount of vocaloids, the variety of songs being made is excelent.

Songs I like include:

Perfume

Perfume are a Trio which now release music in a electro/techno pop sound. The difference here from the vocaloids is that these girls sing the songs but have their voices altered. The girls didn't start off with this sound however. They began their days singing pop songs without distortion with some techno music as the backing track. From there however they changed to the full electro sound they now have. Not much to say really except that you really need to like this genre of music to like these girls.

Weird, I thought I listened to more female japanese stuff. That shall be rectified as I will be looking into expanding my musical horizons by listening to Ayumi Hamasaki, Namuro Namie, Koda Kumi, Utada Hikaru. 10 My My My Me!!~

Tomorrow [March 17th], Morning Musume will release their 10th Album, 10 My Me. Wow, their 10th album, thats pretty impressive, lets just hope that the music inside is as impressive as the achievement.

Before I go onto the music let mw just say a word or two on the cover. The cover above is the Limited edition and better of the 2 covers. Its a nice simple cover with the girls sitting, kneeling and standing together. The girls looks in the cover are hit and miss. e.g HIT = LinLin. Maaan she is totally hot right now, great outfit. MISS = Risa. Yes I have to admit it, Risa's outfit and hairstle are.....not good lets just say. She had good hair on utaban, and at that modelling thing where she had the hat but here it looks crap, sorry hunny bun. The way she is styled too makes her look a bit like a granny and thats not how I want my Risa, or any of my idols to look like..............

So lets just dive into this album and see what we find shall we?.... [Singles songs will be skipped as they were reviewd already]

Moonlight night ~Tsukiyo no Ban da yo~

The 1st song of an album gives an indication of what the rest of the album is going to be like. Upon playing the track you are greeted by womans voice who speeks in english saying"Electric convulsive therapy part 1". Whaaaaaaa! A spoken entry to a song has not been done in H!P for a verrry llong time to my knowledge. I found very amusing and added a little quirkyness to the track. It remimded me of some of the songs by After school in which a person says in an electric voice "Play this sound". Once the intro has been made we figure out what it meant. This song is absolutly crazy!! and in a good way.

The song, ...well its actually really hard to describe. whatever it is, its a work of genius by Tsunku!! The main vocalists are Ai and Reina, with Eri and Risa taking minor vocals with plenty of parts divided into different groupings of the girls. The songs has pop mixed with some techno, and eerie sounds mixed together. Its a wonderful mess that works so very well. Its powerful and packs a great punch that gets you hooked into the album from the start. If Morning Musume's next singe was to be of this style, then I would be a very happy boy indeed.

Genki Pikappika!

The second original album track opens with a very energetic synthasizer start. The songs is like a more sweet version of Mikan, with more softer vocals but still keeping its energy. For most part the lines are sung by the girls which are split into pairs, well thought out pairs I might add as the girls compliment each oher voices. The main chorus is sung by the entire lot with some solo lines sung by the usual 4 [Ai, Risa, Reina, Eri]. After about 2/3 of the way through, we get a lovely voilin solo instrumental, then one of those clappy noises and it breaks into the genki'ness again. Its a very nice song, and thats not being said in a patronising way. Its really easy to listen to, and yet its energetic. You can't help but feel a bit sheery while listening to it. Great vocals from all.

Namidacci

For some reason whenever I hear the name of this song I always think of Beryyz Tomdachi wa Tomadachi nande, ya I'm weird like that.

The song starts off with a piano solo giving the impression that we have hit the slow songs. WRONG!!! mwahahahaha. well kinda. After the piano and nice lines from duo's of girls the song bursts into guitar and drum beats into what sounds like a buono song. Its flippen mental. If you had turned the volume up for the slow part then you could have just defeaned yourself when the rock part kicks in. OH MY GOD IN HEAVEN. half way through the song we get into a great rap part led by Gaki in a way not unlike how do you like this japan. Its a great suprise to the song, capped off with Gaki saying something in a semi agressive voice eventually shouting something in japanese that I dont understand but I still love it caus its Gaki. The song goes back into the rock style before going slow into the .....slow part. This here is another fantastic song, it could be a single all on its own, in fact this and the other should be, wtf Tsunku, don't keep your best stuff for the albums.

Ooki Hitomi

This is the 1st generation song on the album. Its sung by 6th generation members Eri, Sayumi and Reina. This song is more along the styles of High-King with a bit of extra tehcno in the form of voice altering. I love high-king so this style of song pleases me :D I also am a big fan of techno so it suits me down to the ground. Its like Kioku no Meiro part II with added Sayu electro voice, which seems the easiest way to describe the song. I am growing to like Reina more and more so her singing doesn't drive me insane anymore and Eri packs a punch when she wants to, and she does in parts of the song. I like Sayu's altered voice and someimes dont like. Maybe they should have used it more sparingly or maybe used it more along the lines of KAT-TUN's THE D-MOTION. The chorus, has great synth beats and with great vocals from Eri and Reina and sweet back-ups from Sayu, this song adds another noth to the belt that is awesome songs on this album.

Ano Hi ni Modoritai

This is the 5th Gen song and being the 2 powerhouse singers they are, they sing a ballad. Its not a slow typical ballad though, its got some kick to it. Both sound great, and of course its great to hear gaki's sultry voice shine in this type of song. As anyone will know, I am a genki song lover, but I do like this son, but not as much as some of the others. The fact that Gaki is in it makes me like it already. It doesn't seem like a ballad that MM would put out maybe something from one of the graduated groups. I really like the way the gils say "Watashi" in this song. This will be one ballad I will listen to more than once.

Osaka Oihiinen

This is the 8th Gen, and following suit from Platinum 9 Disc, JunJun and LinLin get put into the novelty song. Thats fine for aika and JunJun, but LinLin is such a great singer, she deserves something more substantial than this. I dont know what to make of this song, it just doesn't match the level of greatness that the other songs delivered. I know it has a different style but it feels like a random sng they covered from a mini moni album.

Loving you forever

This is the groups ballad of the album. Um...not much to say really. A nice uplifting ballad...wait just got hit with Gaki then Lin back to back vocals.....I'm happy :D Its probably the only true group song where everyone gets to sing so I'm glad its on the album.

Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou? (Chinese ver.)

I wasn't sure how I felt about this being on the album. We have already heard the song many times. sure we'll give it a lash. ...The song opens with a very nice accoustic guitar intro whch leads to the usual instrumental with singing done by JunJun and LinLin. This is a pretty big deal isn't it, MM releasing a song in another language besides Japanese. I for one really like it. About time the panda's got their own song. And like all other versions we get the kickass solo line by LinLin at the end. Nice way to end an album.

Overall

Overall its a really fantastic album, and this fun side is hopefully a sign of what MM will be releasing in future. The songs are laid out in a good way in which we get really crazy stuff 1st, then not so crazy, then slower stuff antil we hit balads for a nice fisnish. Its a really great album with great instrumentals and vocals. Beats their last one in my view anyway. I give it a 4.5 out of 5. Trully epic!

Lost Korean Girl!

Anyone remember this girl?? No! Well let me tell you about her.

Her name is Jang Da Yeon and last year this 15 year old girl won the Hello! Project Koea audition. Oh yeah, remmeber her now?

Well its nearly a year since she was announced the winner of the auditions, but since then not a word has been said about her....

well before we delve any further, lets look at some facts.

- The winner of the audition [there was to be only 1 winner] would go on to become a member of Hello! Project, specifically, NOT a member of Morning Musume.
- She'll go to training in Japan, and her training will be "Japanese style", taking all the steps that a Japanese entertainer would take for debut.

Now I may be looking WAY too much into this, but I have been increasingly interested in K-pop and so the future of this girl interests me. And so I get frustrated when I see that almost a year later we have heard nothing since she departed from Japan, except for her appearance at the champloo concert in which she came on briefly as a special guest.

Also if you check both the Hello! Project and UFA sites, you will see that she is not listed as an act under them.

Maybe I am just being paranoid though as it seems only debuted artists or soloists are shown. But surely the UFA ite would have here there. Now this could also be just an over sight as there are some groups there that are no longer active such as SHIPS and MilkyWay.

This scares me a little as she just seems to have been forgotten about. No one ever talk about her, where is she, whats she at. She just doesn't exist. But It may very well be that she is still training very hard for her debut. I know that in Korean, people can train for years before they debut, this could be no different. I suppose its not unreasonable for her to take this long to learn Japanese to a certain level of quality, and learning to dance could take a long while too, I dunno I can't dance. Vocal training too is important, so all these factors could explain her long absesne. But I dont recall Ice-CreaMusume taking this long to train before their debut. But look at how crap and easy their dance was. Maybe UFA are putting a lot more effort into Jang.

They may also be deciding what to do with her. Will she debut in Japan alone or also in Korea. What style of songs will she be putting out, techno, RnB, pop. What will her style be, cute, hot, indifferent, cool. Will she be a soloist or will she be put as part of a new unit, made up of other girls from H!P or UFA.

This point brings me to the end of my thinkings as I say what I would like to become of her.

As you may or may not know, I have began to listen to a lot of K-pop lately and so have grown a fondness for both japanese and Korean pop music. That said, I would not mind if she became a soloist. If her music was up to the standars of Girls' Generation then I will more than gladly follow and support her.
But what I really want, if it would be a good or bad thing I dont know, but I would love for UFA to put her into a unit as part of a Duo or Group.
Together with some select eggs they could make a great group. I would love to see Saho Akari, Sengoku Minami as well as possibly Kitahara Sayaka and Kikkawa Yuu. As we have seen in Aa, Akari would be great in a pop group that may have RnB type influences, the 2 girls from MilkyWay would be more suited to a more pure pop type but I think the group would be quite interesting to watch develop.
As for being in a duo, you have to have guessed who I would pair Jang up with. Yes of course Risa. I think it would be awesome for Jang and Risa, to debut as a Duo in both Japan and Korean, releasing both Japanese and Korean music. I can just imagine it, and it makes me a happy man.

ok so thats my kind of rant on this mysterious korean girl. Let me know what you think, I would love some feedback.

I blog, then a long gap, then I blog again.

Well loyal followers and readers alike. After getting requests from some people to start blogging again, I have decided to MAKE time out of my stupidly bust University life to make time for some blogging. At the start this may be done only at weekends but you never know. Also, I will be keeping the name and banners and everything but since I was away I broadened my musical horizons A LOT, and so I will talk both inside and out of H!P and Jpop itself.

But of course anything to do with H!P will be Gaki biased.

Male VS Female Idols

Japans idol industry is a huge money making business that started in arounf the 60's. And since then there have been a multitude of idol types to choose from, singers, actors, entertainers but the main deciding point is to wether, follow male or female idols. To somepeople who might be new to the whole idol world, they might think that an idol is an idol and that being a man or woman shouldn't make a difference. To some who have followed idols for a few years will see very distinct differences in male and female idols.

Female idols as a general rule tend to be aimed at men. Female idols can begin their career from as young as 5 years old and can remain one up to their 30's. It is believed that the peak of an idols career is usually between the ages of 16 and 20, this obviously varies from idol to idol, for example, Morning Musume, when new girls arrived after winning auditions they were roughly 12-14 years old. These girls would enjoy approximately 5 years of being a top idol, they would then be graduated from the group in their early twenties to join H!P as a soloist, for the bulk of the soloists this lead to a career into obscurity.

The appeal of female idols varies slightly from company to company but they are all based on roughly the same recepe of portraying an image of an entertaining, loveable, cute and innocent girl. This image is easily mantained by most in their teens and early twenties, but as idols get older they would naturally want to experience life which might not fit the idol and may cause a scandal. So after a certain age most are graduated from whatever group they are in or are just graduated from idol status, this ensures that if the girl did something risque it would not tarnigh the companies reputation ensuring that legions of more idol worshipers would continue to support idols coming from that company.

The main audience that female idols are aimed at are male fans ranging in age from teens to as old as you can get. Of course there is also a following of female fans, but the companies managing female idols market them to appeal to men. This is all fine and dandy, but there are 2 types of male fans of japanese female idols. One is the everyday joe soap listener who likes them, knows them, supports them by buying their merchandise. And the second is a group of avid fans of the idols called Wota [a name given to a class of otaku that are said to be obsessed with idols]. These fans not only buy the merchandise [some do so in bulk to support their idols even more], but at concerts they perform dances and chants at the concerts. To most fans of japanese idols, these wota are understood as just big fans of the idols. To people who may be ignorant of the whole idol/wota thing, this can be seen as creepy and sometimes perverted as wota may be up to 60+ in age. This then places a stigma on males who follow female idols wether they be young, old, innocnt or perverted [never really the case]. A fan is a fan and should not be judged as a group based on a mere impression given off. I have never heard of females being thought of weirdly for being a female idol fan.

Male idols perform the same basic roles that female idols would by acting as singers, actors, etc. Their main difference to female idols would be thier audience and social acceptance. Male idols are usually hired by companies such of Johnny's Entertainment at about 15. There they are groomed into the oerfect idol. These idols differ from female ones in that their main target audience is girls. This achieved by creating groups with pretty boys with typical boy band hair as well as adding slight [in some cases extreme] fanservice. Fanservice is seen more in male groups than in female ones. These aspects along with good singers, great choreography and production gathers female fans in their tens of thousands. It is socialably acceptable for teen girls to scream and cry over male idols, but is somewhat frowned upon the other way around. This allows greater freedom for girls to CRAZY over their hearth throbs. This freedom may also help in the super high slaes of male groups singles, where as the stigma of being a male fan of female idols may shame them enough into not admitting they like them at all. To add further insult to inhury for male fans. To be a male fan of male groups is seen to be weird and is often requarded in a homosexual light. This leaves men in between a rock and a hard place, either be labelled as a creepy pervert or be called gay [for most fans this will just go right over their heads and wont care what people say as long as they enjoy the music etc.]

This is KAT-TUN a male idol group under Johnny's Entertainment. Though this group is more on a rock kind of side of the scale it is a good example. The group is made up of 6 good lookin fella's that sing very well, dance very well and have an overall professional atmosphere. Once you get past the small tid bits of fanservice the music is actually pretty damn awesome. Great vocals, great instrumental and not something that would on first glance be aimed specifically for girls.

In this video we have a female idol group under Hello! Project. These 7 girls are a prime example of female idols. They are young [dressed in school uniforms, a big thing in Japan], are sweet, innocent, everything a wota could want in an idol. Now when you look at this video you could probably guess that they were idols due to their age, music type etc, but you wouldn't suspect it being aimed mainly at men, but it is.

Both groups are idol groups, both appeal to different sexes in the eyes of the comapnies but both sound and look nothing alike.

In conclusion, its down to personal taste. I have been a H!P fan since 2007 and have loved every bit of it, though I have been the subject of some confusion here in Ireland over the subject of young japanese girls singing, but I got over it and am still enjoying their music. Recently however I have been listening to male idol groups mainly KAT-TUN simply because I really like the music, I am very easily to see past the fanservice for their female fans and enjoy the music and PV's. But when I first began to explore their music, the subject was seen with aprehension with some male wota, which in turn made me feel a bit guilty about listening to the music. But I very quickly started to not give a shit and listened to them caus I enjoyed it.

Guru Guru JUMP

Bit of a suprise for an opening song but it works. It is sung by the whole project, JunLinand koha retaining some of thier chorus lines, the rest were redistributed. A good move though to put this for an opener as it imediatly brings yor energy up just as it should do.

This was another suprise song to have at the start. It too is energetic and a very fun song. The dance to which I found very odd but fun. Everyone sounded great

Ama no Jaku

The cute new group of H!P consisting of Maeda Yuuka, Ogawa Saki, Fukuda Kanon and Wada Ayaka. These girls are sooooo cute, especially Kanon she is so sweet your teeth could rot just looking at her. This is my first time seeing them live and they do a great job and sound terrific. The wota were also on hand to support them too which I was glad to see.

This is by far my favourite Guradians 4 song, its energetic, fun and has Yurina in it. When I saw the dance version of the pv I thought it was really stupid, but seeing it live makes it look so much better. Maybe its the lack of a fake stadium behind them that does it. All the girls sounded good singing it too, as did aika to the exent of her ability.

Minimoni. Jankenpyon!

I was really looking forward to this song. Jankenpyon is one of my favourite minimoni songs, plus I wanted to see how the 2 new egg members did. Let me tellz ya, they were brilliant. You'd swear they were doing this for years. LinLin was a good choice as leader caus she's tiny and is a bit nuts and kanon is the new aibon, really cute and a great singer. They wore their trademark giant hands for the song too which was funny.

The C-ute song where they dress up as 'suturaw-berry pie-ay-ay-ay-ayay-ies'. Not a great song. C-ute havent had a good song since edo no tomaranai II and a great one since Tokaiko Junjou [IN MY OPINION].

Seishun Bus Guide

I am still a bit meh on this song. I prefered Rival over it anyway. I suppse the song needed to be a really energetic one to come after C-utes. One thing I did notice though was how Tight & Small & Blue & Leatherish those hotpants were. O.O. Everyone sounded great though.

Yay MM finally come out. This song is so great live, the lighting for it was great too. and ZOMG Koha and Sayu were lip syncing and they sounded brilliant! The fast rap parts were though but thats understandable. I really love this song, nice to see it performed.

Debut! ~Koi Suru Kado ni wa Fuku Kitaru~

JunLin performed with the girls because one of the girls was absent and the other couldn't dance. I hadn't heard anything from the girls in AAAGES so I'm glad they arent gathering cobwebs. The girls sounded a lot smoother from the last time they performed live, that could be partially due to the presence of JunLin.

Poor ReiRei had to sit on her own but sang on like a trooper. JunJun did go over to her during the performance but they never showd the close up of it

Yume to Genjitsu

THIS WAS AWESOME! This performance of the revived Aa was probably my favourite of the night. The revived unit had Airi and Miyabi like the original, but Reina was replaced with Saho Akari one of the eggs from Shugo Chara Egg. The song was so cool, the original Aa only had one single so its hard yo know what style they were supposed to have but this does feel like Aa. The dance was also very original and fitted the song brilliantly. (see pic above) I would love to see more coming from them in this style, even though I know it probably wont happen as Airi has Buono and C-ute and Miyabi has Buono and Berryz.

Pira!Otome no Negai

This kind of annoyed me. I REALLY liked the Pucchimoni V song from that cover album, it was one of my favourites. But this performance, not only was not that song but it was also missing Mai. This song was filled with random pira popi noises and hand dancing with the mic as if it was a trumpet. The song itself wasn't bad, it was a bit of fun. I was just dissapointed that they didn't use the one from the album.

Heya to Yshatsu to Watash

This wouldn't have been my favourite performance of the night simply because I dont really like the song all that much. Reina sounded great and she looked so hot that I watched it through anyway.

I am Tanpopo fan as well as a Tanpopo# fan but this song didn't really do anything for me. The combination of Eri, Chisato and Yurina is awesome but the song isn't great. I assume they didn't use the one from the album because it wasn't energetic enough but this one isn't of as high a standard. The girls sounded great though and they wore the tarten poofy dress with matching tophats. When is this style going to go, the original didn't wear all this gimmicky stuff and they looked great. Be more sinple please.

I love Buono, and My Boy is one of my favourite Buono songs. The performance was really powerful and energetic just like the song. Their dancing was great though Miya's was a bit licklastre throughout the concert. Overall though a very good performance

JUMP

This performance kinda came out of the blue. Usually the group songs are left to the start and the end, but this one just popped up, and I for one liked it. I had never heard the song before, but since the C-ute girls got the majority of the lines I assume its one of theirs, if I'm wrong le me know. Cant say much about the song caus I got distracted by some of the MM girls messin on the stairway.

Risa sang something, I cant remember but I'm sure it was good :P

Then the messing started. First while dancing Risa kept staring back at Sayu as she was dancing, which led to Sayu laughing.

Then on the stairs, Koharu started to mess with Risa's face while Sayu and Eri behind them made face poking motions. No idea what was going on here. Eri looks like she is about to bust a gut

This continues, at this point I am pissin myself laughin

WTF! Ah it looks like they were having so much fun. I am going to miss Koharu :(

Cosmos

This song was one of my guilty pleasures on the cover album. Its an enka song sung by Ai and hellz yeah did she sing it! She has one of the best voices H!P ever had and just sounded so amazing here. Mesmerising.

Ai-chan looked so pretty in this outfit too.

ONLY YOU

This is the song Sayu, Risako and JunJun under the name Zoku Biyuuden, sang. It is a bit of a punkish song with the chorus line "Only You" throwing you back to Koi suru angel heart. The live performance was great, the 3 sounded great and didn't lipsync woot.

Overall this was a very enjoyable concert and would recommend that all H!P fans watch it. It is nice and refreshing with the new songs from aa, pucchimoni v as well as having the members mixed around with the revived groups. Mano Erina 5th single "LOVE&PEACE=Paradise"

who would have thunk it that I would review mano stuff. Well here we are.

Mano Erina is releasing her 5ht single LOVE&PEACE=Paradise on the 25th of November. The odd thing is that her pv is only out now, usually her pv's are out about 2 months before the release date.

anyway here is the vid before I go on.

Now before you read on just be warned that I amn't the biggest mano fan, so if you worship everything she does then you will probably disagree with me but things are meant to have 2 sides to them so here we go.

Now this single, like Sekai wa Summer Party is one of Mano's more up tempo songs. This song however is way more reliant on synthasized sounds rather than the keyboard/piano tones that were in summer party. ok as I dont really pay that much attention to the girl, to me she sounds the same in every single, so I can't fault her on not sounding great. She is a good singer and works best at singing slow to mid tempo songs. Also in another song....was it lalalala sososo, as in this she does a lot of la la la's du du du's halfway through the chorus, it it a trademark mano thing along with her piano, fringe and prominant front tooth smile. The song aint bad, Mano fans will probably love it no matter what. But her music just isn't my style, she is sweet enough to rot your teeth and the music just is a bit boring for me.

Thia version is basically an imalgumation of the girls so dance shots [which we have never seen before]. Though the cutting between girls can make you a little dizzy at times the whole thing is quite nifty. So yeah ummm the covers. How do I put this nicely.... Screw it.... They suck. The girls look great, but its just them photoshopped out of a background then pasted into another background of either random colours, a giant umbrella or some fireworks. Then someone plastered the covers in fire brushes and thats it. From what I have seen the solo covers of the girls for version C are really nice, the best out of the bunch.

Song

When I first heard the song, I was genuinly shocked and suprised. It was so different from anything we had heard in a very long time for an a-side. The song is Like a mix of Koi no Dance site, Odore Morning Curry, Happy summer wedding all mixed into one, but still its still sounds like its own original song... I hope that makes sense

So the start of the song is Ai [big suprise there], but instead of her normal awesome sounding self, her voice was digitally altered to a higher pitych to what people call the 'chipmunk lines'. This is then followed by Reina and her chipmunk line. After that odd shock we are treated to suitar/guitar music [which I really love]. Then comes the non chorus main part of the song [I am really bad at music termanology...is it bridge?]. This part consists of very fast japanese words being sung by the girls at a rate that even JunLin have a hard time keeping up with in live performances. [mic recordings]. Then the chorus, this part contains the sexy princess parts of the song as well as Ai's now famous "Ii Janai" line. After the chorus is more suitar/guitar music accompanied by the "HOI HOI HOI's" which add great energy to the already genki song. Eri and Risa then take on thier chipmunk lines. A lot of people dont like the chipmunk lines but I found them to be a quirky adition and a bit of fun. Skip to Risa's first solo and YES! she sounds awesome, just as I knew she would. Anyway you can listen to the song yourself but overall I really Really like this. Its quirky, fun, energetic, powerful, sexy all in one and I hope will be a hit. I really like the indian kind of sound, its a nice change. The main vocalists Are Ai and suprisingly Eri who sounds great in this song. Risa and Reina take the minor vocals. There is an odd lack of Sayumi in this song, never thought I would miss her voice in a song but it is a bit of a shame she didn't get a solo line. Also as this was Koharu's last MM [yes OMG she is graduating] some people were annoyed that she wasn't featured more prominently in the single just as Yossie was in Kanashimi Twilight. So yeah, great song, great music, Liam Likes :D

This is the dance shot ver. As this only came out like today I didn't cap it, and probably wouldn't if it came out ages ago as the dance is so fast paced and hard to cap anyway. I wont go on too much so here is a quick thing about it.

This dance is the funniest, sexiest, craziest dance I have seen since Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance. Its just full of win from the ass rubbing, boob thrusting and that weird russian march thingy as well as the risa/eri kicks. Just pure awesome! Cant wait to see people attempts at this...I wont try, it looks too hard to me. Watch JunJun's feet @ 3:27 LMFAO

Close up version: BRILLIANT. The girls move around, do hand movements, give different looks.....probably the most exciting close up I have seen in ages for that reason. Not much to say really but the best bits would be @ 0:12, 2:35 & 3:50.

Ok I know she isn't Risa or an idol but holy crap she is awesome. 1st off if you dont know who I am on about then get your ass over to Omame.co.uk and bask in the awesomeness that is Lolli.

Why is she awesome you ask. Well, 1st of all she is a huge Risa fan, she buys loads of Risa stuff, supports her most of the time, adores the ground she walks on and sends her awesome birthday gifts. Secondly she is my go to person on Risa things as well as a reference to go to, to combat Risa non believers. Thirdly, she buys me stuff!!!! When she was over in Japan for the Nanchatte Renai release event she actually thought of little Liam all the way over in Ireland and bought me Large Risa pics from the event. Not only that, but she bought me a mini Tokyo Tower as well as an Ai cookie [a cookie from fukui.....where Ai is from, for the noobs who dont know]. Then when she got home she sent them to me and made my day.

Next, her blog is like a Mecca for all Risa fans. She reviews all the tv shows risa appears on, pv's, pics and random crap that I know all risa fans appreciate. She is so witty too often having me in tears from laughing. She also shares my dislike for aika, its a weird connection.

I bet ya I will get a message from her now at some stage that she is too old for me and I should stop coming on to her ¬.¬ she has a big head :P

Morning Musume's 40TH!!!! single titled "Nanchatte Renai" is to be released on the 12th of August, and as it is their 40th sinlge Tsunku decided to not just have a reg version with limiteds, there will also be a commemorative single including a second C/W track. The b-side tracks are called "Aki Urara" & "subete wa ai no chikara". The title of song translates to something like fake love or joking romance or something along those lines.

The cover was released as the girls were over in L.A and as you can see, they are SEXYY. Corset type dresses, heeled shoes, white arm shirt things and cute lil hats, not to mention some gloves thrown in for good measure. People also remarked that the cover looks a lot like Daite! Hold on me's cover.

Well anyway, the song was aired on japanese radio today and of course our faithful wota's ripped and it zoomed into our hard drives. At first listen I was pleasently suprised, I also happened to fall in love with the song.

The song opens with a nice piano solo which then breaks into a tune a la SYO. Ai-chan is the 1st to sing, sounds great, sounds good so far. The shockingly Koharu get a solo, quite a long one at that, and she actually doesn't sound to bad. Reina's bit is up next and it is here that the song picks up tempo, he "aa" part in the end is quite nice. Then huh, rapping yup, supplied by the panda's, mitsui [the main rapper in the song] and sayu. Gaki ends that verse off with a powerful performance <3

The chorus then kicks in, dominated by Ai and Reina with breaks with a communal "Nanchatte", sounding good. After a little music break Ai takes another verse followed by Sayu! The second shocking choice. Reina takes over, nice to hear after sayu's pok lines.

After another bout of rapping we hit the GakiKame part of the song.

Risa is first. God she sounds great, powerful, in control and skillful, might have trouble doing it live though. Eri quickly follows Risa with a higher pitched tone. These two always sound great togther.

Ai again........Nanchatte.............Reina again....... Nice one line by Sayu actually.

Final chrous in the rip [could be more after this, you never know] is sang by whats sounds like all the girls. Its great to have that bit of a crechendo at the end. Ai finishes the song with emotional and echoed words that I dunno who to spell. As with SYO we get a musical exit also, sounds lovely though...lets hope we arent 'treated' to 15 seconds of Ai staring at us in the end.

Overall I really love this song and have deathlooped it at least 50 times. Bring on the pv...bring on the sexy gaki in a mini hat ...yum

Hello!Project Champloo ~Happy Marriage Song Shuu~ - A.K.A the cover album

It was announced a while ago that the current H!P line-up would be coming together to create a new album full of cover songs. The reason I hadn't said anything before was because not much was known about it but now that more info has been released I decided to write something.

When it was announced people had mixed feelings of both joy that the project was coming together to create a new album as well as aprehension that all the somgs will be covers.

It all started off when it was announced that the album was to be released. That was it. No one had any idea what was going. Then it was announced that MiniMoni was to be revived. WHAT!!!

This brought more discussion, more like argueing between hardcore original MiniMoni wotas and the more open minded fans. It was then announced that MiniMoni would have a song on the new cover album. After that 2 members were announced that would join the new MiniMoni, they were LinLin of Morning Musume and Fukuda Kanon of S/mileage. After a bit of a lull in info it was also announced that PucchiMoni and Tanpopo would also be revived. This again sparked heated discussions.

So after a while the tracklist was released. I had no clue who any of the origianl acts were besides sweets but I had never listened to them I only knew them by name.

so I just waited until I saw who was going to sing what. Thats when I got excited:

As you can see, ZYX as well as Biyuuden were also resurected but Aa [minus reina plus an egg] and High king are making a return.

Ok so here is what I think of each line-up:

1. High-King - I loved this group when they were formed so I am hoping something great from them.

2. C-ute plus Erina - I dont like mano so I am hoping for airi plus chisato but I know I am gonna get mano shoved down my throat

3. Aa - I absolutly loved "first kiss" by the original group so I was kinda annoyed like nearly all Aa and Reina fans to find out she is no longer in the group. Instead we get this egg that I call "Mini Yurina" as she kinda looked and sounded like Kumai. Still looking foward to this though as I like all three girls.

4.MiniMoni - Awwwwww lookat 'em. Aint they so cute. New mini moni comprises of awesome linlin, the Aibon looklike and 2 eggs that I dont know. I like Kanon and LinLins voices so hopefully the group will work. By the looks of it they will be going back to their original cute image...god I hope so.

5.PucchiMoni - Here is where I become aprehensive. Saki and Mai sounded great together in disco queen, but lately Mai's voice hasn't been sitting too well with me. Saki should be good though, she is energetic and a great dancer. Mano ah god why! This was originally a genki group which is why I understand mai and saki being in the group, but boring piano girl here, od she bores be to death. Maybe she is a good singer I dont really know.... I am on the fence with this one....btw whats the 'V' about?

6. Tanak Reina - I expected this. meh I just hope its not her usual nasal tone

7. Niigaki Risa + Kamei Eri - Squueeeeeeeeeee!!! I have wanted a GakiKame Duo for sooo long. I am so glad that we finally get one. Sooo happy. woot.

8. Takahashi ai - as if this wasn't going to happen. She'll sound great as usual. Next

9.ZYX alpha - Originally when I found out that Gaki was going to be in XYX, I was 2 minds over it. One the one hand I was really happy that she was put into a new group. On the other I hated the style of the girls in the original group, those street rapper style clothes...yuck! But when I put pics of all the girls together like this I was pretty happy with all the girls in the group. Koha, growing to like her, very Genki. Gaki HELL YA. Momo, love her. Chinami in my top 3 fave kids. Maasa, really funny. Erika, good singer nice to see her get a chance. Wada, she's good I suppose. Saki, love her, one of my fave eggs. I look forward to see what they come out with.

10.V-U-DEN - I liked the old group. I like sayu and junjun, risako is ok but if they go for their old sexy image I will feel a bit weird risako being 14 or something. Looking forward tho this though.

11.Tanpopo # - Eri, Yurina, Chisato.....FOOOOOK YEAH!!! aika ...hmm can't get everything right I suppose. I had wanted Gaki to be put back into Tanpopo but seeing this line-up makes me happy too. Eri, my 2nd fave current MM meber, Yurina, my fave Berryz member, Chisato, my 2nd fave C-ute member makes this group very pleasing to me. I really look forward to their release. Oh and the # symbol has something to do with the kanji that looks like that is in each of the girls names.

12. LinLin solo - BOOOH YERAH. Cant wit for this. Her azora solo in the P9D concert was amazing. Nice to see her get some much deserved attention

13. Berryz plus mano - Love berryz... gah I have had enough of mano and I havent even heard the album yet.

14. Michishige Sayumi ・Kusumi Koharu・Mitsui Aika・JunJun - I really dont know whats going on here. 3 worst singers in MM plus JunJun. I really have no idea what.... next

Gaki picspam

Ok so I just realised that I havent had an entire Gaki entry in ages, but then again not much is happening fer her solo wise, so i decided to post pics of Risa because there are some insanely amazing photo's of her out there at the moment

So these are the Gaki goes to college set. She looked amazing in the PV and that doesn't change here. She is absolutly stunning but the 3rd pic on the right blew me away. It shows a mix of sexyness, maturity and fragility AND I WANT IT!!

And these are the Shouganai Yumeoibito set. These outfits are friggen gorgeous, they are elegant around the torso and super sexy around the legs with that skirt/pants thing. These dont really need any explaination, her poses are perfect, cute smile, and awesome hair.

And here we have the Gaki summer set. Yellow really suits her doesn't it? I have been totally in love with these pics ever since they came out, why dont they make individual poster of the members anymore and have them looking like these pics, I would buy so many. I have to say her hair has been foooking awesome these last few months, only going wrong in the clips for the 3.2.1 Breakin' Out OPV competition clips.

ok so in conclusion, Gaki looks awesome as ever and she rules my world

Hello!Baka bares fruit

Ya so ages ago I posted a thing about the new dubgroup I was setting up and was looking for generation 2 of the group. Well since then, Gen 1 have debuted along with releasing 2 slinter group songs, generation 2 and 3 have been added. Gen 2 will debut soon as well as a joint dub project and a solo release in the works.

So Generation 1 consisting of myself, Dran, Cheeky chill, Aibonono and etherealmotives debuted with our 1st release "Ai no Tane". It seemed right for H!B's 1st song to be Morning Musume's very 1st song. The instrumental was not at a contant bit rate when released in that early singles box set thing so cotton our mixer had a hard job syncing everything together. We, the singers also had it tough as the japanese was very hard in this single and it took everyone multiple tries to get it right. We were all really proud of what we had accomplished and with the first release out of the way we steamed ahead.

Then while searching for our generation 2, the existing group of 5 members were split into 2 splinter grouns "Ne!" & "Double Yu". Ne! which was basically the guy group included EtherealMotives, Dran and myself. We covered Aa!'s First kiss. This song was much easier in both pace and pronounciation. Ethereal dubbed Reina's lines, dran covered Miyabi's and I had the hard task of doing Airi's lines, but haveing the least deep voice it seemed to make the most sence. Cotton's work on this release was flawless, it is so perfect, he did an awesome job. I thoroughly enjoyed this release as I really liked this song.

H!B's latest release the 2nd splinter group from gen 1. It was the girls group consisting of Aibonono and Cheeky Chill that we called "Double Yu". They covered W's "Koi no Vacance". This release was released later than anticipated but in the end we got it out there. The girls really did an awesome job with this. Cotton was busy so I had to take up the task of mixing the track. This task was made a lot easier by the girls perfect timing, all I had to do was allign the girls tracks with the instrumental.

So they are the releases H!B have put forward so far, but we have loads more to offer. We have 4 new members, Eridorian, AimxAim, bee & jingkoto. They re really excited about their 1st release so I hope some people watch/listen to our releases and if anyone is interested in joining H!B please let me know:)

P.S sorry for the lack of updates until now, I had exams for the last month and a half but I thank you all you kept checking to site for updates, I promise I will post more over the summer.

Omame-Fansubs....the birth

Hey guys sorry that I havent posted in ages, its exam season and wouldn't you know it, I have exams :/

Anyway ages ago I talked to Dran from Berryz Kyuuden about subbing vids. He said it was pretty easy but it involved a lot of patience....A LOT!! So I just acknowledged it and went about my day. Then a few weeks ago the pv for Morning Musume's "Shouganai Yume Oibito" single came out and after a few watches I got the urge to sub it. I dont really know why, maybe its because its such a nice pv, maybe because I absolutly friggen love the song, and maybe the fact that Gaki looks and sounds amazing pushed me into the subbing phase.

So I went to dohhh up and ripped the video.....then I was stuck XD. I went on to msn and subtly asked dran how I start subbing. Actually it wasn't subtle at all I just out and asked him how to sub haha!

So he explained that I had to go and download a software thing called 'Aegisub'. So I did that...and let me tell ya, you cant work it by opening it as soon as you get it and make a subbed video, oh no you cant! You have to read ¬.¬

So I went online and looked at the manual.....then closed it again and went to Dran on msn ....again ^^; And Dran kindly walked me through the very basics, like the interface, what things meant etc.

Eventually I got the video loaded into the aegisub, now all I needed were the Kanji lines, its romaji counterpart and a full translation. Piece of cake... I just hopped over to Musume-Central and sferris had done all the work for me XD. He very kindly allowed me to use his translations.

So I put the lyrics into the software and timed it...which isn't too bad. But OH MY FRIGGEN GAWD, doing the karaoke timing of the romaji took me flippen ages. But I eventually got it done, and seeing how long it took me to do the romaji, I decided not to do the kani with it ^^;. so that was done, but for some reason I left the project for like a week or so, then I remembered it was there one day when I was bored and put in the english translations.

Then came the encoding part *Que thunder*. I asked Dran (yes him!) how to encode, he said ask SacredCultivor from Hello!Fansubs, which I did. He then said that he was terrible at explaining how to do it, that was fine no problems there [we love you over here at mayuge madness SC]. SC then recommended that ask this other dude that I had never heard of.

So I went back to Dran XD. And I sent him my video file as well as all the subs with the timing to him and he worked his magic and encoded the lot for me. He also gave me a template code thing for the romaji to make the karaoke look better plus....he also did the starting credits because when I did them for some stupid reason they never worked.

So after all that, I uploaded it to youtube and it has recieved over 200 views yay. I also made a torrent out of it [after Dran showing me how XD] and uploaded it to Hello!Online and there it had been downloaded 674 times to this very second. That actually made me go WOW! Then the vid got re-uploaded to youtube a few times by other users, I finally became one of those people. The type of person who does something so great or stupid that other people want to upload your stuff onto youtube.

So finally I once again want to thanks sferris and a huge thatks to Dran for all his help.

H!B Hello!Baka ~ new GroupDub formation

well as if the pic didn't speak for itself, I will explain a little.

I started H!B after doing some fan dubbing myself and then a group of us over at musume-central did some group dubs. I found it pretty fun and thought that I would like to do it more often. So I set up a forum and roped my friends from musume-central, Aibonono, cheekychill [of JKC Revolution], EtherealMotives and our very own Dran [of Berryz Kyuuden]. Togther with myself are the 1st generation. We are going to debut with Ai no tane and will hopefully continue to grow and dub till the cows come home. If you are interested in joining a dub group, be you a guy or girl, then why not join us and get in at the ground floor, well 1st floor seeing as you will be the 2nd gen.

hey, sorry to all the lovely people who read Mayuge Madness, I havent posted in ages, I was on a fieldtrip away studying rocks, then I went to Rome on a holiday. So this is a medley post of sorts, I am gonna post about a lot of the stuff I missed out on if any of ye are still interested. I wont be posting about everything, just some of the main stuff that interests me the most.

ok so I am gonna start off with the newest, er um news?

Morning Musume's new single has a preview out now!!

The song is called "Shouganai Yumeoibito" which roughly translates to something like "Never stop chasing dreams" or something like that. Now when the title was releasedI like so many other guessed as to what the song would sound like and with the title we had a pic of the cover of the cd.

My 1st impression was similiar to a lot of other people, which was "OMFG THE GIRLS LOOK AMAZING!!!" So from the way the girls were dressed and the title of the single, I had a strong feeling that the song was oing to be a ballad, we havent heard one of them since Aruiteru. I thought it would be the sort of ballad we might have heard from Morning Musume Tanjou 10nen Kinentai, and its not too far off it. Its not a slow ballad, its got some elctric guitar, nice beats and a nice overall upbeat ballad sound. The girls sound awesome, needless to say Gaki's line made me melt when I 1st heard it and I genuinly think its one of the best lines on the preview, but I love the overall song so I'm happy. I eagerly await the full version and PV. I pray though that the H!P that has formed will put some more imagination into the PV.

Next:

Buono's new single is coming out soon and we have been given a 30 sec pv preview.

The song called "Moy Boy" is the ending song for the Shugo Chara anime and it is foooking awesome.

Its the grungiest I have ever heard them, but its such an awesomly cool song. The pv is awesome, the girls have some hawt moves while wearing neon clothes. The story of the pv is about the 3 girls trying to use stealthy spy moves to try and get through this mansion building to get to a guarded cheesecake in the shape of the heart. Its a funny pv and its quite good with some funny momo bits, its so good it gives me hope for MM's new single *crosses fingers*

A few days ago, C-utes 8th major sing "Bye Bye Bye" was released. I am still a bit iffyabout the song, I dunno C-utes newer songs are kind of lacking in that grab factor. The song is ok but the one thing that blew me away was in the pv Chisato looks so different, so much more grown up and finally she looks girly, for so long they had her hair short, tied up/back, gelled and it wasn't very flattering. But now she looks great, she actually outshines Airi in this pv, and I LOVE Airi!. Not much to say about this really, an ok song, Chisato steals the show and sounds amazing, but there is one part of the pv I love, and that the finger point dance part, I laugh every time I see it. Anyway if you haven't seen or heard it yet, judge for yourself.

another new release:

Berryz Koubou are releasing their 20th single soon and is the ending for another anime.

To me the starting and ending of the preview sound a lot like C-utes Bye Bye Bye. I'm not feeling this song to be honest, it is an anime song rather than a song you would go out and buy. A lot of Risako in this too and I amn't the biggest fan of her voice. Its a shame because I love Dakishimete Dakishimete so much, this lets me down.

ok so onto a little something different. H!P have a new unit, its called Guardian 4 and they will be releasing their 1st aingle "Omakase! Guardian!" on 27th of May. This is the opening song to the same anime Buono are doing the ending for. The group, made up of Kumai Yurina (love her!), Mitsui Aika, Sugaya Risako and Nakajima Saki.

The group will probaby be a mitsui and Riasko show. Risako because she is one of the most popular of the H!P kids and mitsui because she is in MM. The song is nice and energetic and its a nice change from some of the heavier stuff. The outfits are really cute too.

I really like the part from 0:47 - the ending, it makes me wanna dance around like an idiot with my arms flailing about.

Anyway thats my lot for today, again, sorry about the long wait, hopefully that wont happen again, but just as a note, my Uni exams start in may

The album version is a bit different from the concert and leaked version in that it is slower, has a better intro, neither Ai or Reina have their solo's in the start like they used to. I suppose they will leave in the chinese bits in the end. Good solid performance song, would have been weird for MM not to have a group ballad song.

~SONGS~

I LOVE SONGS!! ya that kinda sounds weird. but seriously though, this song is awesome, one of my favourites on the album. Its got some piano, strings, drums then we get some RnB a bit of dance/disco. Reina and Ai get the solo lines at the start, but they dont completely dominate the song. We get great groupings of girls that sound great. "Sa a sing a song" sang by Ai in her remixed voice is one of my fave bits. We get a solo of a girl near the start but I can't place who it is, JunJun or Eri. Probably JunJun as LinLin and Gaki both get solo's later on, well linlin does and I'm pretty sure Gaki does too, either that or she does the main vocals with someone else harmonising. I have been playing this over and over for days, I love it!

~Ｔａｋｅ　ｏｆｆ　ｉｓ　ｎｏｗ！~

Oh good lord *Faints*. Can it really get much better. This song too is awesome and I have had it played numerous times since its release. Loving the sound Tsunku has come up with for songs and Take off is now is really cool. Even line distribution (fans still havent gotten over the resonant blue fiasco) and they each sound awesome. Tsunku must really like this trio as he has them doing 2 songs together on the album, perhaps he is thinking of a new sub -unit :P. This is another one of my favourite songs of the Album.

~Watashi no Miryoku ni Kiduka nu Donkan na Hito~
a.k.a the Aika solo

Now this girl ranks the lowest on my fave members list of MM but I will listen to the song subjectivley without prejiduce. The instrumental is very good at the beginning and in the middle and end but when she is singing it's kind the same tune going thoughout the whole song. An ok song, listenable.

~Guru Guru Jump~

oh dear the 3 most hyper members of MM put into a song and performance "Quick hide the sugar!" XD no seriously this is such a cute song and omg Koharu doesn't sound aweful, unless she's lip synching. The album needed a cute song (Mikan is cute too but not a new cute song) and this does the trick. From that performance linlin made me laugh, she just looks so goofy.

~Jounetsu no Kiss o Hitotsu~

The 2nd of the 2 TakaGakiReina songs. From the bat we get a Gaki solo....insta-win. Another cool sounding song, different to Take off is now, and thats good, both are awesome. This song is cool but is more subtle that the other song. While writing this I still can't believe how many lines Gaki is getting, its friggen awesome...oh ah the chorus is so cool. Love it. This album is rocking my socks off.

~Ｉｔ’ｓ　Ｙｏｕ~
a.k.a The Sayu solo song

I laugh so hard every time I listen to the start of this song "eh, yea yea, eh, its yo ,its you come on" She sound like a crap rapper with a little bit of sluttyness added in XD. Here we get another song with that cool beat instrumental. When I 1st heard Sayu was going to have a solo song I was kind of annoyed since she isn't that great of a singer, but everytime I listen to it I like it more and more. I wont like it as much as the likes of songs but it actually aint bad and last she doesn't do that high pitched note at the end of every line like she usually does, if she did I would HATE the song. Props to her though.

~Kataomoi no Owari ni~
a.k.a the Eri solo

Aww Eri sounds so sweet in this song, its refreshing after sayu's (no offense). Eri's voice s so smooth and sweet you just want to reach through the computer and give her a big hug. I quite like it, hopefully she will lose her insane vibrato that she sometimes does and keepts is clean cut.

~OVERALL~

What an awesome album. Really I dont think there is a song that I really dislike, sure I love some over others but thats natural. Interesting though that kanashimi twilight is on it. Will it be with Yossie and miki or will junlin take their places, we will just have to wait to find out. Ya so go buy it MM fans it will be well worth it ;)

Musume Love ~ My rankings

so this post is kind of to break my lack of posts recently and also to spam about the girls, so here goes my rankings of the 9 girls.

#1: Niigaki Risa

So ye probably new this was coming no suprises there. I just love this girl, she is everything you would want in an idol, a great singer, awesome personality, funny, good looking, good dancer and an all round entertainer. She caught my attention when on music fighter promoting osaka koi no uta which was also ishikawa's grad special and her talk on the buildings had the exact same effect on me as it did on miki, yup I laughed till tears streamed down my face. So since then she has been my favourite member no member coming close to how much I love her :)

#2: Kamei Eri

So the reason why I like Eri is a lot like the reasons I like why I like Risa. Eri is a good singer (except for when she does her quavering sheep impressions) and insanely funny, when her and Risa get together one or both of the girls cracks up usually ending with me laughing too. She is weird and I absolutly love that about her, she isn't afraid to act goofy.

#3: Takahashi Ai & Michishige Sayum

Ya this was a hard one to call ad in the end I decided to have a joint 3rd place. On one hand we have Ai, an amazing!! singer, passionate, endeering person. And on the other we have Sayu, a weak singer but has a great personality, quite funny but can get carried away sometimes with the whole cute thing. They kind of balance each other out, Ai the singer & Sayu ther ersonality, ying and yang / hot and cute...same thing

#5: Tanaka Reina & JunJun

Ya another tie. To tell ye the truth I wasn't expecting this either but here we are. Well I suppose they are kind of similiar except for the popularity and line distribution. But to me they both have their moments where they make me laugh. I hated Reina for ages and I didn't really know why. I think it was because she got loads of lines and was always promoted over many others and was the centre for a long time. I dont particularly love her but she does have her moments as I said. JunJun to me is more loveable, she is emotional weirdly funny and not bad a singer. She was deadly funny in the making of for pepper keibu but she doesn't really do much to give much impact. I see the potential in her and I like her but she needs to command the attention more.

#7: LinLin

LinLin is in the same boat as JunJun same qualities. But LinLin sometimes goes a bit overboard in trying to be funny and sometimes it annoyes me. No point in me repeating or copy and pasting what I said about JunJun into here too.

#8: Kusumi Koharu

Absolutly terrible singer, screechy almost tone deaf girl. But she did the same as Sayu, she got a personality and that is one of a spazzy, hyper girl. It is this fact alone that keeps her from the bottom of my rankings, she actually makes me smile and laugh sometimes.

#9: Mitsui Aika

This result for me was as predictable as Risa being #1. I just dont like aika. She started off in MM being just an ok singer and from ther she got steadily worse. In concerts she sounds even worse (I know I couldn't dance for 5 minutes and then sing a song perfectly afterwards either.) I dunno just nothing about her appeals to me, plus you'd swear she was glued to ai-chan the way she was around her in alo hello 3. She gets in the way of all the takagaki moments, if she did that to eri too I would go insane. Plus sometimes to me her smiles seem really fake.

So there it is my favourite to least favourite girl in the current line-up. It will be interesting to see how my opinions have changed in a years time, hoping that some havent graduated

Dakishimete Dakishimete....so awesome, they named it twice

Yup berryz have a new single coming out soon and I am here to tell you why its awesome!! Oh before I start, the pv part of this review is mainly eyecandy, plus the girls move so fast and the camera changes so much its hard to cap.

so pv part:

there are 3 main parts to this pv, sexy close ups, great dancing and random bits.

sexy close up bits...... main part of the pv review, mainly because I think the girls look awesome.

Risako, main singer...but she is in my opinion the least good looking in this pv. just doesn't do anything for me.

Saki went back to her high king days and is pimping again. I love saki's hair in this vid. Tne hat is a bit mank though.

I love momo, she's awesome, but in this vid, they didn't seem to do much with her.

Maasa looks great with her hair to the side. do it more often love.

Oh my darling Yuri, doesn't she look amazing. never seen her with curly hair before and it suits her quite well.

Miyabi's hat is friggen sekushy and with the new do, she looks amazing.

CHINAMI owns all in this pv, she looms friggen fantastic and is the only one who's whole outfit I like. She looks so sophisticated!

DANCE BIT:

at the start, before all of the crazy dancing we see them in the dark doing the 'hands swiping over the eyes' move.

"Put your hands up for detro...um tokyo" this is actually part of a dance move where the girls puch the air. Ads a nice touch of power to the pv.

Then comes the "boob bounce thing" move...which risako seems to love, and keeps doing until..

...she starts to get chest pains. seriously though she is quite good at it and it fits in well with the song.

After all the 'pumping' they get tired and give themselves a hug for all the hard work.

RANDOM:

After the dark hand in front of face dance move, a disco ball pops up with the girls faces on it, which then jump off it and into your face. 'do you think it was an accident that momo,miya and risako got the big spaces'

The other random bits were these things. every so often one of the girls would put up in front of some trippy backdrop and multiply while doing a weird dance moove. It REALLY doesn't fir the song.

BEST BIT:

Sexy yuri bit. If you dont like the pv/song at least watch it for this bit, its the best bit in the whole pv, that and chi's close ups.

simple put..its great, a great techno/dance style song. great beat. ok I really need to go now, my brain has stopped working and I cant type anymore. This post turned out a lot worse than I thought it would haha!!

Akogare MY STAR ~ C-utes 4th album

on the 28th of this month, C-ute released their 4th album. the following are my thoughts on the songs themselves, then my overall impression of the album. Please enjoy it ^^.

Aishiteru Aishiteru (Kanna & Saki): Opening reminds me of Ame no furanai hoshi de waaisenai darou. I really liked the girls opening lines, especially Kanna's little interjections. This a nice cute song, omg omg who is that.... the solo lines delivered by Kanna were amazing, the best I have heard her in a long time. I have really started to appreciate Saki's voice more after Disco queen. So far this album is off to an awesome start.

Akogare My STAR: Not a big fan of the opening, reminds me too much of Natsu lipstick. "Bye Bye!" love that line delivered by Mai & Saki. Ya not really liking the tempo, or overall sound of the song. A bad choice of song to name the album after.

Big dreams: up until the chorus there aint much that grabs my attention enough to say anything about it. Its a nice song though, just not enough impact.

Edo no Temari Uta II: I quite like this song. It was the 1st proper single with even line distribution. Insanely short song at under 2 and a half mins. Brilliant lines delivered by Okai and Erika as well as Airi.

Namida no Iro: oooh salsa, opens with a promising sound. "GO JOE" lol sorry. Sexy song, but Maimi's voice really doesn't fit the song. Chorus could have a little more kick but its ok. Outfits from this song were amazing, well for Airi and Maimi anyway.

One's LIFE (Umeda, Okai, Hagiwara): Okai and Erika are good singer so hoping for good things. I knew they would do it......give mai all the solo's. Um aint Okai way better than her, vocally. I dont get it. The wrapping is weird, doesn't really fit the song. The solo is quite nice, but I can only listen to so much of mai's nasally solo's (yes I did say I loved disco queen).

Seishun Song (Maimi): Opening....awesome. I dont think Maimi's voice is the best, but I loved that opening. This song doesn't really have a lot of range which is good as Maimi isn't great at range transitions. Loving the beat, easily my favourite song of the album, which is weird as Maimi is one of my least favourite members of the group.

SHINES: The start kinda sounds like a football song. Good vocals & beat, it would be good for a rakuten eagles song. Hard to say whether the song is an upbeat song or a ballad...maybe an upbeat ballad :/

Yakusoku wa tokuni shinai wa: aw sweet vocals at the start. Man this albumm is stuffed with mai aint it. Yay Airi, it feels like I have hardly heard her in this album all day. Ya no major changes throughout the song, but it is a good ballad, really nice.

Yes! All my family (Suzuki Airi): Thank god she got a solo song, I was getting really worried as there was very little airiness in the other group songs. Her voice is awesome so before I started the song I knew she would sound great...and she does. Its a nice upbeat song with some electric guitar in there = win. Its lovely when she sings "Yes! All my family" kyaa. Overall a great song.

OVERALL: I dunno, this is tough, as you can see I used a lot of "nice" throughout, no awesomes or holy craps. The songs weren't very energetic, they were ...well nice. Winning song for me has to be Seishun song. Maybe C-ute are going for a more mature type of sound. I personally prefer genki songs, but these songs were good and are lovely to listen to. I give it a 3.2/5 lol

Naichau Kamo pv

Shame on me for not writing this sooner, but better late than never eh? So the pv was released a week ago or so and there have been mixed views on it....and here is mine. I wont do a whole shot by shot review, instead I will do a quick random shot review of the its I though deserved to be capped.

1st thoughts...OMFG sexy jackets. lol I think the girls look awesome in them..... I know a certain someone who thinks they look like hookers ¬.¬ NO! just no. After a few quick dance steps we finally get a glimpse of one of the eagerly awaited raining scenes. After a series of dance to rain sequences.... I am already hooked. You can already tell this is a pv of substance.

Reina with the 1st solo line...not really shocked by this, it was going to happen eventually.

Ai followed. And instead of trying to give us cutsey poses, we see a sad, deep Ai in a cool shot of her behind glass that is being covered in rain. Love this shot.

Ai again, but in this dance shot she looks super schmexy!!

Speaking of sexy, JunJun suddenly makes one of her brief performances...kinda looks like she is holding her um...chest, while holding her hair back...mmmmm *drool*

Then during the 1st chorus we (yes we!!) are delighted to see this vision of lovelyness popping up. The blurred shiney things are nice arent they?

Then from shiney and nice & sexy JunJun, we are shown a shot of Ai balling. Someone please give her a hug.

Ah!! sexy JunJun attack. Dont be decieved, she aint in this much, mainly just fly-by's in the dance shot and 2 0r 3 rain close ups.

Thought I should put this in for Aika and koharu fans. These 2 aren't featured that much either. Aika's hair is awesome in this pv.

Eri gives a good performance on her solo line, we get a nice close up and a dance shot of her touching her face....mmmmmm

The 1st preoper appearance of LinLin and she too looks so sad, and scraggly. She genuinly looks a bit sad.....

....whereas Aika..well she doesn't really convince me at all. Its like a face a little girl would pull to tey and convince her mother to let her have a lollipop before dinner.....ineffective and a bit silly.

This would be one of the parts I wasn't happy with. I just dont get this double look move with the sticky out elbow.

Big fish, little fish, cardboard box!

Gotta praise the cameraman for this shot. loving the fishnets.

Now this is how Reina thinks, a really sad and crying person should look like, scrumpled up chin, curled in lips, and frowning eyebrows. Does it do the job? notch at all.

This is how its done. Soaking wet flowing black hair (yes when girls cry their hair turns black) , slightly open mougth, heavy breathing, and eyes that are filled with melancholy. Reina! take notes.

There she is. Sayu does well vocally in this song, yet you dont get to see her much. The shots she is in though are awesome.

During a music interlude, they do this weird hoola thing. Its not that out of place, but you just wouldn't expect it in a pv like this. One thing for the next Alo hello..... Holla dancing please.

Koharu now doesn't look too bad when wet and dry during the dance shot, but in the up close crying shots her hair is really weird and it reminds me of something from the 70's.

Brilliant clip from Eri here. She hangs her head and shakes it. Its like the guy is trying to give excuses, but she wont listen while trying to hold back her tears.

This shot is funny though. Its like she is grabbing ...er, um...something and going "oooh"

During the last Kamo! Kamo! Kamo! Kamo! bit, LinLin shows up with this thing on her head. Its laughable, its just so random, her hair looks awesome though.

Ending!! Grrrr GakiKame are hidden behind Ai and Koharu (WTF is she doing in front!)

Niigaki and Ai longest serving members of MM

Niigaki Risa & Takahashi Ai the last 2 remaining members of Morning Musume who served through some of the golden era have now become the longest serving members of the group. The previous record was set by Iida Kaori who was in the group for 2702 days, and on the 18th of January 2009 TakaGaki beat that record, and to date have been in the group for 2713 days. I just wanted to congratulate them on tjis awesome achievement. When you think about it, they joined when the group was only 4 years, and its now over 9 years old. So here's to my favourite leader + sub-leader combination *raises imaginary champaign glass* .... here's for many more awesome years together.

Co No Mi Cheap!

ok so for my 1st Buono post I am going to discuss their new single Co.No.Mi.Chi and will split the post in 2 sections, the song, and the pv.

Song

The starting is so nice with all 3 of the girls singing, and then we hear drums like their other singles but the..momo starts to sing and the tempo of the song slows down a bit and sounds a bit weird. Its almost like its being subdued. The only semblence of the real Buone we love is at the chorus, and even then it doesn't pack much of an impact.

Then half way through the song there is a music interlude or whatever you call it (where the girls are not singing but just music) , but its not like Gachink de ikou or Rottara Rottara where it is actually worth having there. Its quite bland to say the least. Then the girls come in with their few word solos and the chorus (which is the best bit btw) comes up again.

Now I like the song, dont get me wrong...but thats the problem, I only like it. When Gachinko and Rottara were out I was addicted to them and they are still on my playlist of songs that I love to listen to, but this one for a better word is forgetable. For me the b-side of Rottara "My Love" was a far better song than this.

Ok I suppose they weren't going with the harder guitar bits in this song, maybe it was supposed to be a softer song, but having quiter drum and elec guitar music in the background only makes it seem like they tried to make it something that it surely aint.

Girls sound awesome as usual, but not the best from Buono I am sorry to say.

Now there are 2 parts to this pv, 1) a nice sinple set of the girls in a white area with a road, and the girls wearing kickass outfits, and the 2nd....them fake walking in front of a green screen which has been replaced by HORRIBLE graphics of them being in different places.

First we see the girls singing those lovely opening lines.

Then....HOLY GOD...we see the dreaded green screen work....Airi looks awesome though :D

Then we get the close ups....Airi...ooh I love her

Miyabi with her new hair....lookin good...oh yea and this part of the pv is fine.

Then we are pulled back into that god aweful walking scene again. except this time we are going on a world tour. ...this really annoyed me, a REALLY crap gazelle thing just floated accross the screen...it was cinge worthy ....plus the animals arent to scale geesh :P

Then we zoom to antartica to see the girls pretend to be looking down at little digital penguins.

Then finally we are brought back to the road for some nice dance shots....god why couldn't it have just been a dance shot, it would have been better than that digital crap.

But oh no here we are again, and I noticed something. Its the ecaxt same thing except different outfits and screen. Zoom Airi, zoom, momo, zoom miya, zoom out, all 3 walk...its so repetative.

It goes on like this through the hole thing.... girls dancing in cool white outits, crappy digital screen, dance, digital, oh a close up, dance, screen. Its really annoying. one of the worst pv's I have seen in a very long time, well for the digital part anyway.

Over the last while the name of Morning Musume 38th single has been released as, "Nai Chau Kamo" or in english, "I might cry" and not only that but a rip has been made of it....and here it is

well at first it didn;t really grab me, but since then it has been on repeat lol. So this song is another ai/reina fest, but sometimes that isn't all bad as ai does sound amazing, and its not like Resonant Blue wher only those 2 and koharu got solo line, here we hear Ai, Reina, Risa, Eri and Sayu which is a big improvment seeing as Reina was the only one to get solo lines in pepper keibu.

though one fault is that it isn't as catchy as PK which i would get stuck in my head lots of times, this one doesn't have that factor, but it is a good song and has a nice beat to it. My favourite bits would be where sayu is singing, there is a haunting echoing voice accompanying her, also the ai/risa and risa solo lines are killers. Eri again sounds amazing.

I am a bit dissapointed that you cant hear the panda's very distinctly, but I am happy that I dont hear koha/aika, I dont like their voices.

This is a hard one to call on sales wise, so I wont bother trying to guess how well it will do.

Will I buy this, possibly, I am waiting for covers and pv's yet though.

This picture is said to be a pic of the girls as a promo pic, that aint supposed to be seen by the public yet.

Aika, sayu, reina and ai at the front. For gods sake UFA put the sub leader st the front for once, like hat the hell is aika doing there, she is hardly as popular as risa and has less lines than her in the song. Maybe risa will be in the front on the single cover.

But 2 worries, what is on Eri's head and is Gaki's hair done like they had for ambitious *cringes*

I am really looking forward to seeing what these girls do. I already have my two favourites, Youko & ShenShen, youko is a great singer and ShenShen did an awesome bellydance, plus both are quite cute ^^.

Not too sure yet, I could actually be just imagining this but, there might be 2 versions of it, a mandarin one and a japanese one...dont take my word for it.

I like it, it will take a little time to get used to, and maybe they could have changed the arrangemnent a little but all in all its quite good. I like the synthasized bits, I dont get though why they start of the track is in japanese and then the girls sing in chinese??

My views on the Cinderella Musical

ok, well I am going to break the mould here and not say that it was incredibly awesome. Infact some bits really bored me. For example when cinderella and the fairy godmother are talking about wishes coming true, it went on way too long, after that I was so bored I turned it off and watched the rest the next night.

The character of cinderella annoyed me too. Ai was a fine actor and all but the whole time she did this look....

and it was annoying the hell out of me. She did it when she was thinking, when she was happy, remembering, fatasizing...she constantly did it and to me she looked tired, stoned or a bit special...I dunno why it annoyed me so much but the fact that she did it so much annoyed me even more really anooyed me.

The saving grace of this play was the prince, the stepsister and stepmother, Gaki was cool and a rebel and the step family were all pretty funny. the rest didn't really do much.

I was dissapointed because I was sooo happy when I found out Gaki was to be the prince, but alas to me it didn't deliver and it wasn't even on the same level as ribon no kishi. This play had WAYYY too much, and yes I do realise she was the main character but still.

Overall I would give it a 2.5 out of 5.

sorry I hadn't posted in ages, I was busy with college and christmas stuff, so I am back to the net. But since its xmas I mightn't be that focused on the blog as my huge family (11 bro's and sister) get togther ...so lots opf catching up to do.

yup, Gaki gets another Alo Hello dvd, and I am uber excited for this. her 1st one was awesome, I lol'd so hard when she was on that water ski boat thingy, you know when she was screaming her head off, I was laughing my head off. 2009 is looking like an awesome year for releases.

here is the cover of the alo hello MM 3 dvd so I am assuming Gaki will look this stunning in her dvd too. to be perfectly honest she stood out the most to me, and not because she is my fave but she looks awesome and that sexy look she's goin on just draws the eye.
